Happy Wednesday everyone! I don't know about you, but this week has been wild for me. This morning I actually accidentally sprayed body lotion into my hair instead of hairspray because I was in such a rush. (To be fair--the bottle are the exact same coloring...) I havn't had much time to write for the blog, butI have tons of ideas which I am excited to turn into posts for the next few weeks. In the meantime, I thought I would just share a quick book review with you all...
I saw the preview for This is Where I Leave You in theatres a few weeks ago, and knew I had to read the novel by Jonathan Tropper before the movie came out. Tina Fey, Jason Bateman, Connie Britton, Dax Shepard, Rose Byrne, and Jane Fonda are just a few of the all-star cast members of the movie, which comes out in September.
The book definitely has a few crude moments but I ended up really enjoying it. The plot revolves around a family sitting Shiva for their (non-practicing) dead father, and is narrated by one of the sons. While there are some very poignant familial moments, the narrator and his family are also hilarious. I found myself laughing outloud multiple times, and could completely picture Tina Fey in the role of the sister, Wendy. I can already tell from the movie preview that the castings were fantastic.
In short, I would say check out the movie preview below and if it tickles you than definitely make it a goal to read the book before the movie comes out!
Happy Wednesday Everyone!
